Introduction to
COMSOL Multiphysics
2-day hands on training

Come and learn how to build your multiphysics models in the most advanced multiphysics software around.

These 2 day events are a great way to get to know the ins and outs of COMSOL Multiphysics. They are for anyone wanting to use and build complex models in COMSOL Multiphysics.

Overview

Beginning at an introductory level we guide you through the essential steps needed in all analyses; geometry creation, meshing techniques, model setup, post-processing.

You will develop a strong foundation for your future multiphysics modelling work. On completion of this course you will be confident that you are correctly solving your simulation problems with COMSOL Multiphysics.

Day 1:

Understanding the key features of the COMSOL Multiphysics® architecture
Geometry creation in COMSOL Multiphysics®
Setting up and solving a coupled multiphysics model
Visualising the results
Customising your model with parameters, variables, functions and other tools

Day 2:

CAD Import and defeaturing
Mesh customisation and geometry simplification for analysis
Best practices for meshing geometry
Use of moving and adaptive meshes
Understanding the difference between solving linear and nonlinear problems
Configuring your study sequence
Solving time dependent problems
More on global parameters, variables, functions, probes and nonlocal couplings
Analysing and Postprocessing your models in COMSOL Multiphysics®
